Log Home Companies

This post is intended for companies serving the log home industry.

The "NEW" Log Home Directory just underwent a complete re-design and makeover. See it here, http://www.logcabindirectory.com

As you may know, the Log Home Directory receives tens of thousands of visitors every month – these are people who are searching for YOUR log home company.  Since 2005, our directory has grown to become one of the largest ‘Log Home Authority’ sites on the planet with hundreds and hundreds of pages of log home and log cabin information.

Google places a great deal of value on links, and links from an ‘authority’ website carry even greater weight.  We have your company listed in our directory, but you need to ‘claim it’ and verify that your information is correct before it is activated. If we already have your company listed, it looks something like this.

After you ‘claim’ your listing… everything changes!
  • All of your hyperlinks become active and point to your site(s)
  • You can create a link to your company blog
  •  Include your Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+ links
  •  We will display a Google map to your location

What this means is

1.    You will get more click-through traffic to YOUR site from our visitors
2.    This will help to improve search engine results for your website
3.    Increase your sales opportunities

Please make note of our new blog address at http://www.logcabindirectory.com/blog/, the first and oldest Log Home Blog.

DIY Antler Drawer Pulls

A reader sent me an email asking where I obtained my real antler pulls for a log end table I made for my bride. You can see a picture of the log table here. I replied that I had made these drawer pulls from antler sheds I had bought from an eBay auction. He then replied asking how I made the antler pulls.

Like many of you, I love to spend time in my shop building things or just tinkering around. Why buy something when you can make it yourself and probably build it better? As this was a great DIY project, I decided to make another antler drawer pull for a firewood rack I was in the process of building. To answer my reader's question, I documented my process and threw in a few pictures. To see the complete article of my DIY antler pulls, go here.
